Once you separate or divorce, the greatest tool you have is your way of thinking. What do you think? What you tell yourself? Your goal is to “survive” your divorce? Do you think it is a failure or “Damaged Goods”? Your thoughts have a powerful effect on your reality.
For me and my three children of school age, I decided that just “survive” my divorce would set the bar too low. Instead, I wanted us all to grow and flourish. I think we’re never given more than we can handle. I was ready to learn the lessons of life taught me in the break. I do not get stuck in anger or fear. I am sure does not want to repeat the experience either!

I realized as planned, I had my own internal dialogue was negative. There is nothing comparable to collapse with a 20-year relationship with the volume on the ‘internal self-critical thoughts that I had done my whole life, but never really noticed. I understand that a very important tool that we all (and do not use it enough) is the ability to choose our thoughts.
Dr. Lee Pulos noted, estimates of clinical psychologist at the University of British Columbia, we self-talk between 150-300 words per minute. The work of astonishing 45,000-50,000 thoughts per day! He estimated that the average person can take only speak for about 11 seconds without some kind of self. For many of us, much is to talk about you too negative – especially when we had a sort of recoil, as a separation or divorce. Dr. Pulos said that the man sitting in a trance “awakening” with this constant stream of negative self-talk to. We literally throw down programming in our minds that we beat up and put us doomed to failure and dissatisfaction.
Here are some simple strategies to help you get started:
1. You Do not Have to Know
Your mind can not know what it is already known or experienced. Life offers us far more than we can know, if we’re open to seeing them. You do not know, not what you know. And that’s good news! All you need is a willingness to keep an open mind and learn from your miss-steps and you’ll be amazed by your sense of relief when you do not “know” everything. Get curious and ask, “What can I learn?”
2. Tune into your inner dialogue
Awareness is the key ingredient for building a stronger mentality. The state retail “waking hypnosis” and choose new thoughts that you support. It may take practice, but it is a conscious choice that you can do. When you hear your inner critic always angry against you You simply say “Thank you for sharing!” Or “Sure, but I deserve to have a good life anyway!” Try to walk with a notebook and write some dialogue that you hear in your head. You can see the results to be shocked!
3. Take A Baby Step
So, you broke a promise to yourself, or back into old habits that do not like to fall? First, be willing to forgive you. What is a concrete step you can take now to move in the right direction? Find something specific and measurable, you can act on the moment. You may have to cut some slack, or find a partner that you remain responsible, straight and narrow. The energy and confidence began to feel accomplished then made this step, no matter how big or small for articles on computer technology will be great fuel you get.
